CARICOM’S TRADE A Quick Reference to Some Summary Data 2001-2006

Over the period, 2001-2006, CARICOM’s intra-regional imports increased from EC$3.3 Bn (US$1.2Bn) in 20012 to EC$6.1 Bn (US$2.3 Bn) in 20063 at an average annual growth rate of 13.2 percent.Intra-Regional imports in 2006 represented a decrease of EC$0.1 Bn (US$41 Mn) or 1.8 percent ascompared to the value in 20053. CARICOM’s intra-regional exports also expanded moving fromEC$3.6 Bn (US$1.3 Bn) in 20014 to EC$7.9 Bn (US$2.9 Bn) in 20064 at an average annual growth rateof 16.7 percent.
