The 2020 World Population and Housing Census Programme was approved by the Statistical Commission at its 46th session and adopted by the United Nations Economic and Social Council in resolution E/RES/2015/10. Countries should conduct at least one population and housing census during the period 2015 to 2024. For CARICOM Countries, the intended years were 2020-2022 but due to the COVID-19, countries now intend to conduct their Census during 2021 – 2022.
The Regional Statistical Work Programme and the Resolution calling for increased investment in Statistics were accepted by the 15th Meeting of Community Council of Ministers. An Advisory Group has been set up. ..read more
